Billing & Insurance

We are in-network with Trillium and most private insurance carriers. Please note that it is your responsibility to check and understand your insurance benefits. We check all patients' benefits to verify eligibility, but we do not guarantee this information.
  • Is speech therapy covered by insurance?
Most patients have some kind of speech therapy benefit as part of their insurance plan. It is always a good idea, however, to call your insurance company directly to ask.
  • Which insurance companies are you in-network for?
We are in-network (i.e., preferred providers) for Trillium Community Health Plans, Providence Health Plans, Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield, PacificSource, Moda, GEHA, and more! If you don't see your insurance carrier listed here, please call us and ask! We are not able to bill Medicare at this time.
  • What should I ask my insurance company when I call?
Excellent question! When you call your insurance carrier, we recommend asking the following: 1. Do I need a physician's referral for outpatient speech therapy? 2. Do I have a deductible? If so, how much of my deductible is remaining? 3. What is my coinsurance/copay amount? 4. How many speech therapy sessions per calendar year are covered? 5. Are there any exclusions for speech therapy?
  • I have a deductible/coinsurance. What does that mean?
A deductible is the amount your insurance company expects you to pay before they will begin covering services. Coinsurance is the percentage of healthcare costs you are responsible for paying. Deductible, coinsurance, and copay payments must be paid at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
We are able to accept personal checks, credit/debit cards, and cash (exact amounts only). You can pay your bill in-person, by mail, over the phone, or online using our patient portal.
  • Do I need a referral from a physician?
We require a physician's referral on file. If you were referred by someone who is not a physician, please call your physician or pediatrician's office and ask them to fax us a referral.
  • How much do you charge for an evaluation?
Because we as SLPs treat such a wide range of communication/swallowing disorders, each patient's evaluation is different. We work with patients and caregivers to identify and assess specific areas of concern, and the price of the evaluation session varies depending on what types of testing we are doing. For pricing, please call our office at 541-371-2782 to discuss your areas of concern and what type of evaluation would be appropriate.
  • I have to pay out of pocket. Do you offer any discounts?
We offer a prompt pay discount of $20 off any of our services when paid in full at the time of service.
